Every city has its landmarks. So too Paris.
Today, around seven million visitors are visited who visit the 324-meter-high tower every year. Thus, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most visited landmarks in the world. If you do not plan the Eiffel Tower on your next trip to Paris, you've really missed something. But you should decide in advance: do I want to go to the Eiffel Tower?
HOW DO I GO TO THE EIFFEL TOWER?
If you answer this question with "YES" or rather with "OUI", we recommend you to secure your cards in advance and choose a good time for your visit. Of course, the Eiffel Tower and the associated romanticism in the evening is especially nice. But a few thousand other visitors still see it that way ...
Maybe even the early morning or lunch time - if all other tourists looking for food - would be worth considering. But as I said before, the best thing to do is to be clear about it before you travel. Because an online booking can easily halve your waiting time.
HOW HIGH DO YOU WANT TO GO OUT?
Now you are faced with deciding how high you want to go and whether you take the elevator comfortably or rather the stairs. Also important: The Eiffel Tower consists of two visitor platforms. The lowest (2 floor) can either climb even by stairs (currently: 7 € per adult) or you take the elevator (currently: 11 € per adult). Up to the top you only come by elevator. This beats currently with 17 € per person on the travel fund.
VISITING THE EIFFEL TOWER - TIPS AND TRICKS
The ascent through the stairs is more exhausting, but worth it in several ways. Not only the ticket is cheaper, very often the queue is a lot shorter. That may not necessarily be due to the laziness of mankind (maybe it does), but rather with the bad signage for this possibility. It is important not to hire - like many "tourist sheep" - at the cash desk for the elevators, but to queue for the stairs to the left next to it.
THIEF, ABAZOCKE AND TRANSFERRED PLASTIC EIFFEL TURQUOISE
If you want to buy a souvenir and maybe flirt with a plastic Eiffel Tower. Hey, taste can be argued and I would not advise against it. But please do not buy these things directly under the Eiffel Tower. In general: The "Touri rip-off" under the Eiffel Tower is dramatic. Pay attention to your valuables, play no shell games, "donor collectors" swarms best directly from and even friendship ribbons that binds you to the arm, you buy not great!
If you want to buy a plastic Eiffel Tower for your trusted home, choose one of the 42300 thousand souvenir shops in Paris and buy it there for a third of the price! Also a last note in case you get hungry: The food in the immediate vicinity of the Eiffel Tower is outrageously expensive. Either you go to a restaurant a little further or let Mutti butter you sandwiches.
